 Britania Laboratories, is an Argentinian familiar company located in Buenos Aires city, Argentina.
It was founded in 1960, with the noble purposeof manufacturing clinical and industrial microbiology products and diagnostic reagents.
Since those years, the company has become and positioned as a leader company in the microbiology market, and this was and is still realized because of two important reasons: one is the great and continuous work of the professional staff and the other, is the trust, the positive answer and the counselling of all professionals who use our products.
The success of the good quality of our products is the success of our employees, which are specialized in their working area and permanently trained, to manufacture and consider each product as a personal project, assuring the most important standards of quality. Our permanent ambition is to improve our professional work, which is clearly seen in the activities of Britania´s Postgrade School and the research and development of new products.
We are proud to be the first and leader Latin American company which manufactures dehydrated culture media, blood culture bottles and antimicrobial discs used for antimicrobial susceptibility testing.
Since 2003, our company is certified by ISO 9001/2000, and actually, our laboratory staff is constituted by 54 members, including pharmacists, biochemists, chemist technicians, engineers, International commerce licenciates, administrative and worker employees.
In Argentina, we posses and sell our products to about the 80% of clinical microbiology market, the 40% of the food, cosmetic and veterinary industry market. For that, we have more than 100 distributors of our products in the whole country.
We are the suppliers of the argentinian principal health centers, where we can mention the National Health Ministery, the Health Ministery of Buenos Aires province, Argentinian National Microbiology Institute (Dr. Carlos G. Malbran), National, Provincial and Local Hospitals, National and private universities, National Medicament Institute (INAME), National Service of Animal Sanity ( SENASA), National Agropecuary Technology Institute ( I.N.T.A.), National Industrial Technology Institute (I.N.T.I.), Panamerican Health Organization, PNUD, Biogenesis company (a veterinary biotechnological company), Cooperative Sancor LTDA (a company which provides dairy products in argentina and abroad), Avon Cosmetics SA, Procter & Gamble, Rosenbuch Institute (a veterinary company which produces animal vaccines), Quilmes (beer industry), Danone Argentina SA, C.C. B.A S.A, ( Brahma, beer industry), Argentinian Water services.
Since 1978, Britania Laboratories exports its products. At this time, we sell our products in more than 22 countries, which are: Brazil, Uruguay, Chile, Bolivia, Perú, Paraguay, Nicaragua, Honduras, Dominican Republic, Cuba, Panamá, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Saudi Arabia (M.O.H. Tender), Egypt, Nigeria, Yemen, Thailand, Pakistan, Bangladesh, etc.
